I recently bought a 1992 R19 rn.19D with good engine but crap bodywork.
Looks like I'm also getting a 1994 R19 Turbo diesel with blown head gasket and dead box.
Can I put the engine and box from the non turbo straight in?
Or maybe just the gearbox and possibly the head or even the engine and gearbox and add the turbo to the non turbo engine. Basically, what are my options? The 1994 is much nicer cosmetically and is mechanically sound expcept for engine and box. Or should I just replace the head gasket and gearbox and hope for the best assuming there's nothing else wrong that caused the head gasket to fail?

engine swop

you cannot fit a turbo to a non turbo engine as the compression ratios are different. you will self destruct the non turbo engine if you do this.
