Hi, can't seem to find a good thread with the answer to this question.

Can anyone confirm if the Renault Clip software can be run as a diagnostic using a laptop connected straight to the diagnostic socket without the need for the shiny renault clip box.

I have 2 different answers from people willing to sell me the latest V.108 software - the difference is about +£150 on average for the shiny box?

Any advice appreciated.

Hi

I'm 99.9% sure that you need the CAN box for the clip setup.

I'm currently waiting on mine to come. I bought the CAN box along with V108

Didn't believe the cheaper option although the seller was trying to convince me!

Will look for a cheaper Can Clip.
