Have 97 clio I RN 1.2, very low miles, was ticking over like a mouses heart. Can't switch off immobiliser for past fortnight, however.
Main dealers gave me a code to punch in to central locking button. This starts the car, but when i switch off, immobiliser kicks in again in 10 minutes.
Main dealers reckon i need new key or new reciever unit or both. Told me should cost appox. £400 to sort! 1997 car!! Does anyone know how to switch off/ by pass immobiliser permantly? If i've to punch in that code once more i'll go mad.
Would hate to scrap car but ain't giving renault fortune to srt it either
