Just had to pay out £260 to air con engineer to replace a air con pipe that was replaced just less than year ago.The pipe was £130 .Renault say they will not pay for the pipe under warranty because they did not diagnose the fault yet you can clearly see the split near a flange .This engineer regularly does work for this dealer when they can not cope .
Hows that for customer service?

Seems perfectly clear to me.

After all you could take any air-con pipe back but they wouldn't know if it was the one they fitted.

Did you inform the garage that fitted it before engaging an independent engineer?

I agree. You have to give any supplier the chance to rectify the fault. If they refuse or fail to make any corrections in a 'reasonable' time period then you can then take it further.

Did you ask the original dealer to fix the problem?
