Hi all,

Just a quick question. I recently bought a second hand 2011 Renault Fluence 1.5dCi. I was reading the manual about the cooland indicator and it says this:



Now I understand that the outside bar is the temperature, what is the inside bar in this photo?

To me that looks like a reference bar that shows when the outside bar has reach too high temp. The dangerous level being the blue shaded bit at the top. So if the outside bar reached that shaded area the coolant temp would be far too hot!

Thanks Heather, I thought of that, but then the inside bar starts "empty" when I start the car and slowly builds up to that level and I am slightly confused of what it actually means.
