Re: Renault Forum [email protected] Team

I hope I don't regret this later. :d

A link for our man from Down Under, although I know it's never over until the fat lady sings her song.

http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/cricket/england/latest_scorecard/default.stm

PS If Australia pull this situation back & win, then thats not :censored: fair :d ;)
I was hoping you weren't going to mention that.
I just saw on the news a number of Australian players including the captain arguing with the umpire - time to sack them all.

Another way to kill a dead work unit is to delete the work folder. FAH should (not sure about the service, until now I always used the console) just download a new one and carry on as normal. You can delete it by going to the work folder (C:\Documents and Settings\"Simon"\Application Data\[email protected]\work - change "Simon" to whatever your login is) and deleting all the files.

I've been lucky so far and I haven't seen or heard any of it, I'm waiting for the hi lites on the TV tonight 1.5 Hrs to go. I'm with you though players shouldn't be taking on the Ref / Umpires, we get too much of that here in soccer  I'd agree that mistakes are made, but they do IMO tend to even themselves out.

IMO there's now too many £s or $s at stake

Re: Renault Forum [email protected] Team

Hi Hondo - I'm ok, just been away on holidays for 6 days - hence no folding. I live in the state that it hit, and we got some pretty big rainfalls here in Brisbane but not as bad as further north & west. Only a month ago I was out at Emerald picking up my new 1954 VW Beetle, and I am rather glad I did - it would have been totally inundated if it was there now!
On the map in this story, we went from Brisbane to Condamine to Emerald then just short of Rockhampton and then back down to Brisbane. We would need a boat to do it now...

Thank the Lord for that, on the TV over here it says the flooded area in Australia is larger than the the size of France & Germany put together

:d You've never had one of these have you? :) What are doing? Making an aeroplane? :) ;)

Re: Renault Forum [email protected] Team

Mine isn't quite as nice as that one

Here it is at the BP at Emerald, which is probably a bit soggy at the moment.

I had been looking for an Australian assembled Beetle with the luggage rails in the real luggage area - so it had to be made between Feb 54 and Aug 54. It took me 4 years to find it, and it needs some serious work. Mostly frame head stuff, but surprisingly little rust repair work. I have had the existance of my family jewels threatened if I paint it, so I am slowly being brainwashed into the rat look. I will leave the paint for a few years, and then give it a nice repaint to what it should be.

Pleased to hear that all is OK with you & your's :)

Nice project with the VW, but I'd rather you than me. ;)

PS I'm not going to mention anything about Cr:censored:

Cricket - well yes. Seems the Gen Y spirit is well and truly alive in our cricket team - totally at peace with their feelings and accepting of the situation, although they have absolutely no idea of the shame they have put the Australian public through with their totally incompetent display of cricket (using the term very loosely) Should sack the lot and replace them with the Burrumbuttock under 8's.

On the other hand, your batsmen have put on a masterful display of run scoring - it has been a pleasure to watch them. I can't say the same of your bowlers, only because they are not on the field for long enough to form an opinion about!

Re: Renault Forum [email protected] Team

Well it's certainly been a pleasure seeing so many runs knocked by England, rather than the more usual batting collapse. I must admit though I'm not too keen on the total reliance of new technology. Ian Bell for one, was definitely out twice in the same innings

Re: Renault Forum [email protected] Team

Cheers Hondo,

Iam still folding away on the daughters laptop but only when she remembers to leave it open so its working away:devil:,Iam also still folding away on my tower although its slow going:eek:.....it is now 6 years old so its getting on bit:d

Now my laptop is goosed iam afraid:confused: the fan packed up before Xmas so i ordered a new used fan that has now been fitted but its still shutting itself down due to heat:confused:....so i cleaned up the surfaces and used new heat sink but its still over heating:confused: i thought i had done it wrong so went through the step my step guide i found on google and re-done the heat sink again but still over heating when folding???? thats the only time it over heats unless iam video streaming or using the DVD player so i have decided its time for new one:devil: although i don't have the cash i need just at the minute to replace it but i hope to soon:d,

Re: Renault Forum [email protected] Team

Donald have you checked that all of the air inlets & outlets are clear?

Are you sure that the cooling fan RPM of the new fan is the same?

Have you tried reducing the core priority of FAH?
I'd go for backing it off to maybe 50% followed by increasing in 10% segments until you see what temps are acceptable

Hi Hondo,

When i bought the fan off a seller on ebay it was listed as the same part No thats already fitted but i did notice before my old fan gave up the ghost it had two speeds and this new fan seems to be running on the higher rpm all the time?? although iam not 100% sure it is running on the higher rpm? but i think it is?although thinking about it thats what might be wrong it might be only running on the slower rpm?,

What i will do is reduce the core % to 50% and see how it gets on? but i fear that core temp will shut it down after about 30mins of running at 100%,as i said i will so what happens at 50%......time will tell,

There is not dirt or scum build up surprising as i have had the whole laptop stripped down....every bolt nut and screw and there was no build up of crud at all....OK there was some dust but nothing near as back as a tower would get:crazy:

Cheers Don
