can anyone help me please. my car failed its mot on friday on several things. the main one is the rear sub frame bushes. i was wondering can this be reapired by myself or is it a garage job and whats involved. i've been quoted about £300

To do the job properly you'll need genuine Renault bushes and a special tool for removal and installation. The cost of the tool plus bushes should work out at around £130 or so. A decent well equiped garage should be able to do the job in about two hours.
My local independent garage charges £150 to £180 to do the job so it may well be worth phoning around.

Insist on genuine Renault bushes - the risk of after-market bushes ain't worth the risk in my opinion.
