I have a faulty seatbelt unit and have purchased a replacement. However does anyone have any experience of replacing a unit. Removing the main unit is simple enough, that I have already done, but it looks to me a biggish job to remove the anchor from the front seat.

Does the front seat have to come out and if so is this likely to affect the air bag mechanism?

Laguna seat belts

Warning:devil: The seat buckle attachment on the seat contains a very strong reacive spring system to activate the seat-belt tensioner in the event of an accident. If this activates during installation or removal it can cause serious injury. It is normally activated electrically or via compressed gas cylinders (depending on the make and model of car). Take Care. Most mechanics prefer to do this work with the seat removed from the car and all electrical connections - made safe! If in doubt seek professional help!
