The hydraulic struts on my Laguna have failed and the back is hard to lift then won't stay up. The garage want over £100 to fix, can I do it myself?

Oh yes.....find a Laguna in a scrappy with a decent pair of struts on it and put them on yours.I can't remember for the life of me how they come off,but unless anyone else gets back to you I'll have a look at a Lag 1 we have at work tomorrow and give you some tips.

Welcome to the forums by the way.:)

 Well, I got some struts and they fitted really easily and I was very pleased with myself (only cost me £20 off e bay) but they aren't the same length as my old ones so the tail lifts easily and stays up but its only half the height it used to be ( as the actress said to the bishop)- bit of a beginner at this motor maintenance lark. Still I guess its better than it was.

They were supposed to be off the same model as mine...
