Hi,
I have a 57 Plate Scenic II 1.5 dCi which on first engine start, creates a melting rubber smell which penetrates into the cabin.
This only occurs when engine is started from cold, but independent of the ambient temperature..
The smell becomes evident after cranking and just after engine fires.
Any ideas? Glow Plugs...Starter Motor drawing too much current? any one had this problem.
Thanks
