I too suffered the dreaded pond in my scenic. After reading many threads on this forum I tried all the suggested remedies. I unblocked all four drainage channels and yes they were blocked but this didn't cure the problem! I cleaned up my sunroof channels, nope. Cleared my windscreen scuttle drains, alas no also. Thought I would check inside conections for drainage channels and ariel. I removed most of the headliner in the car and left a slow but steady hosepipe running on top of my car. I couldn't believe it when I spotted the smallest trickle in two spots at the top of my windscreen where the water was coming through. From here it runs along the headliner, down the side windscreen trims, to the back of the dash and into the footwell. I sealed the whole windscreen along the headliner with clear silicon and put the headliner back. I have removed and been air drying the foam from under the frount carpets for a week now they were soaked through I had to scoop out all of the water. We have had tonnes of rain in the week since I sealed the screen in fact it hasn't let up for a full day yet and so far BONE DRY!! All thats left now is to keep my fingers crossed and hope my post helps out someone who is also at the faulty towers stage of whipping their car with its ariel. lol.

excellent explanation of an fault, I also have a leaky Scenic and will try this first...
Was such a problem to find this tip on the forum though.
Did you also suffer from central locking problems because of this. As mine will not work now front carpets are wet.

If you have a problem with your central locking, your first point to check should be the ariel. This is a common leak spot but easily solved with a ring of silicone. You need to remove the central locking remote sensor mine is above my rear view mirror in between the lights etc. Small black square with lock symbol that lights up when central locking is on. This may need drying out. Search threads as I am sure someone else has put fix on. For search try words, leak, pond, water, footwell. Good luck

Leaky Scenic

Central locking started working normally again, I took down headliner at the side of drivers door piller and this morning the water was dripping on me (better that than the electrics i suppose)
Lunchtime.. took out front sunroof, poked wire down drain cannels (seemed clear) cleaned and put silicone grease around sunroof rubber, re-aligned roof.
Will check aerial again and seal this time.
The inside of the roof under headliner (metal) is wet between sunroof and front w/screen ad drips onto headliner and must then run down the door pillers.

Can it be the rear sun roof causing my problem as I only got wet after starting to drive?
Can the water run from the back to the front?
Thanks Tony:confused:
