I finally brought my Secenic sport alize 2000 and all was going ok until i reversed up a slight slope and got
a loud griding sound, does anyone have any idea what it could be???:steam:

It could be a badly aligned exhuast or a worn/damaged engine mounting.

Mountings are quite a common failure on Renaults,especially the lower rear stabiliser which goes between the engine and the subframe.

Reverse Problem

Cheers for that, it sounds like its a bit of a job, but

If you haven't taken it to the garage yet..

Just think mud flaps - if you have them fitted they make a terrible noise when they ground that sounds mechanical and expensive.

If you haven't got mud flaps than it might be rear disks or as above but then it probably will be mechanical and expensive - sorry. :(

Reverse Problem

HI Thanks for your reply, but it has now been sorted, took it back to the garage and was happy to be reminded that i had 3 months warrenty, they replaced the clutch and engine mounts, so i am at the moment very happy, just hope if anything else goes wrong it does it before the warrenty end ha ha
