just bought a 2005 2.2 espace, it is a high end model but seats look tatty, found a set of 7 in leather but fronts are electric, anyone know if loom is present? if not just supply power or more to it than that?
model, hard one, here in france not noted on logbook! insurance were just asking, anyway of telling? it has zeon headlights climate on all seats auto lights, insurance thought it maybe the "exclusive" but has nasty looking velour seats.
complete set of beige leather €200.
if loom not present i assume a supply and ground would make them move?
or swap leather to old manual frames?
Not really sure about spec. The oval plate should tell you something about the build and trim. One way would be to find an old brochure on the internet and compare available options. You could always ask Renault (with your VIN number).
As far as wiring is concerned, yes a supply and earth is all you need but make sure the supply is properly fuse-protected and ignition-switched. Avoid having the seats connected to an unfused permanently live connection. You'll need to choose the appropriate wire and fuse spec. If you get that far someone on this forum can advise, or check a similar (equipped) car.
EDIT - in UK and Portugal many parts and accessories stockists can give you quite a bit of info just by inputting your reg number into their database.
