Hi, I have a laguna priv, and i wanted a initale but ended up with this one.

I was toying with the idea of fitting the sat nav screen, and maybe later fitting the rest of the sat nav stuff.

My question is:

1, If i get a screen from ebay or breakers can i just connect it up to the car and it will show the info that would be on there on the one i remove, i.ie the time, date, tyre pressure?

2, how hard is it to fit the rest of the sat nav stuff and will i need any special connectors etc.


3, any other issues that may arise that i do not know about but some one else has experenced.

I've tried fitting sat nav to my Mégane. There's way too much involved. For the Laguna it's even worse because you have FOUR things that need to work with each other - the screen at the top of the dash, the control unit below the CD player, the computer in the glovebox and the GPS aerial.

The connection for the standard radio display screen will be completely different to the sat nav screen, and it's not likely that the wiring will be there for any of the other components. My advice: Buy an Initiale :d
