hi hope someone can help me , while my wife was driving the car it cut out and came to a halt when i had a look at it ,it will start with my foot hard to and splutters and backfire and when i do get it moving very slowley 15 - 20mph max if i put my foot down it flats out and stalls if i just tickle the throtle it will keep going just?. any ideas, sorry i dont know much about cars .

tried new leads ,turned it over and each plug is firing one seems brighter than the others but all were sparking,wondered if it could be a air flow meter or something like that ?
