I have a Scenic 1.4rt which has started making a strange noise, mainly when I accelerate out of a corner (but does not happen all the time).
I can faintly hear the noise when reving the engine slowly aswell.
The noise is difficult to describe it is like a deep rattle sound.
It sounded like something rattling around in the boot, and yes I removed everything in the boot and still the noise is there.
I would appreciate any answers to the problem and how it is fixed.
Cheers

The main cause of noises when accelerating out of a corner is a worn outer driveshaft joint, but the noise wouldn't happen when revving the engine with the car stationary.

It could an exhaust heatsheild rattling or the exhaust knocking somewhere, possibly caused by a worn lower engine stabiliser......

Thanks for your response.
How serious would it be if the driveshaft was worn? is it easy and cheap to repair.
I still have a few more months warrenty left but I doubt that this would be covered.
