My car since being fine for years now starts in limp mode when not a week ago
it had been fine for years. A few days ago a engine off and on would sort it for a few miles
but now after working on it it starts and remains in limp mode.

Fault:
Dash - Heater plugs on light / Elec fault light goes off when turned on but then immediately
comes on and stays on.

History:
Two weeks ago it overheated (but i stopped well in time) and I thought was using coolant. Took me a while to sort this but
proper bleeding of the system (using the bleed screws etc) has solved it. There were no leaks you see and
when i took it into garage weeks after to flush the system and renew coolant they pressure tested it and all was ok.
They again bled the system and was fine on way home.
So for weeks after it overheated it had been fine !!!!

Started in the morning after the garage changed coolant and within 3 miles it was going into limp mode with the "Heater plugs on light / Elec fault light"
on. To start with a switch off and on would solve this but as days gone by it now starts in limp mode (Wont go over 3k revs)
This is current state

What i have done and facts:
-Oil level remains same
-disconnect battery for 30 mins - no change
-TDC sensor removed and cleaned
-EGR - I removed and cleaned BUT I have had for the past 10 years this bypassed - never been an issue
so this cannot be related.
-Cleaned the MAF sensor with elec cleaner - no change
-disconnected MAF - no chnage
-disconnected EGR - no change

Diag codes:
inlet air / boost pressure circuit
1815

airflow sensor circuit
1806

- Ordered a new MAF and bluetooth diag obd2 .

Ordered:
-New MAF sensor - arrives in few days
I did this as there is no difference connected or not connected !
This and the trouble in getting the air box out i thought it is likely to be bust in some way ?

Been told codes mean :

1815==
Wastegate valve in short circuit to + 12 V
Turbocharging solenoid valve in open circuit or short circuit to earth
Lack of air in the inlet circuit
Turbocharging pressure too high
Check Turbo actuator and small pipe(s) going to the Turbo actuator

1806 ==
Open circuit or short circuit to earth
Short circuit to + 12 V
Sensor supply fault
Data inconsistency

Thats probably the sensor itself

--------------------------------------------------
You have still got to sort out your boost issue.. DONT fit the MAF until boost issue is sorted..
If the boost issue was the first code here..
Dont get blaming the solenoid just yet, you need to see the waste gate actuator move..
If not moving, could be seized. been getting progressively worse, and now is stuck..
Could be one of the thin black pipes has a split in it ..

Once you have removed the wipers and the plastic panel underneath them the centre section is the removable, 10 mm socket and a few 10 mm bolts to remove from the panel. Very obvious once you have removed the black plastic scuttle.

Can I ask anyone -- where can i get diagrams of this car ?
For my Suzuki, Kawasaki and Yamaha bikes this is common place.
It seems Renault this is not the case. This single fact appalls me.

In another thread i asked should i buy another Renault. I decided i would
but now if a normal person cant get hold of diagrams then there is no hope
for someone who wants to do their own mechanics. Information
that could be known in an instant is virtually impossible to attain.

Why is it so hard to find them ? Whats the secret ?
For me a restorer of old motorbikes this is a damned poor show.

There are diagrams out there, very detailed ones.
Trouble is that they are the intellectual property of Renault. Or Haynes. Or....whoever.
And the forum has very strict rules about copyright material being shared or posted or linked to on here.
Just saying.

I'll make my own sketch if I ever find this waste gate thing ..... so others will have it . without that like me it takes days to negotiate where any item is.

q) I have found the -
turbo boost pressure solenoid . at the back near the battery. just a thought but today its waste gate search first as ordered.

I wonder if renault would want me as a mechanic now ?

a shame works stopped as on wiper blade wont budge need a puller.
I can see a few 10mm bolts and a middle section that might help access to the back .
