Can anyone help me? :(

My scenic has started to produce a whistling noise when accelerating. The pitch of the whistling increases with the revs. It could be my imagination, but it seems to have slightly reduced power as well.

I had a similar problem with a laguna which turned out to be a split intercooler, but I'm hoping this isn't as bad. Any ideas?

Cheers.

Welcome to the forum.:)

It could very well be a split intercooler or turbo pipe......it could also be the dreaded turbo failure problem rearing it's ugly head again.:(

I'd get it checked asap.

:( Starting to look bad then!
Forgot to mention that it's getting through a lot of Oil as well, plus occasional black smoke from the exhaust.

I didn't know if it could be the EGR valve that seems to be mentioned alot on the forums?
