My '53 reg Scenic 11 petrol has recently started to idle roughly and lose power.
I've also got a 'check emissions' message on the dash.
I had a similar problem a couple of months ago with the car cutting out at at low revs. That turned out to be the camshaft sensor, which has been replaced.
Any idea what this new problem could be?

Hello,

is the car idling roughly all the time? If so it sounds like a missfire and the most likely cause of that is likely to be one or more of the 4 x pencil coils have failed. To fix simply replace the failed coils.

Yes, it idles roughly all the time. Don't mean to sound thick, but what/where are the pencil coils?
