the car is in gaarage fuel getting to injectors ok they keep trying to find any other cause but they will at 40 hour they say that they have spent 10 hours already and suggest they change fuel pump just to see if that cures it but at my cost thanks beth

Not being funny, but a garage that has spent 10 hrs to come up with 'maybe try another fuel pump' don't sound like they know what they're doing.

Without knowing exactly what checks the garage has carried out it would be difficult to tell exactly what may be wrong but if after 10 hours of investigation they decide on the lets start replacing (at the customers expense of course) parts in the hope it will cure the problem is a sure sign they don't know what is amiss.

It may be better to consult a diesel specialist who has the appropriate test equipment and experience.
