Hi all.

I found this wire that comes from the harness, that runs from the motor, found it loose under the battery tray. Would this connect under the tray, the wire is long enough to go to the other side on the battery, negative side, but not long enough to connect to negative terminal clip, does anyone know where it attaches to.

Please see attached pics

I have traced the black wire to the fuel filter I think. See pics attached

Ian not a clue, what colour is this wire ..
Have you checked its not broken inside the loom the other side ..
It could mean you stripping the loom back to see where it goes
You could try using your meter on ohms
Make sure battery is off at this point
NOT disconnected, off and out the way ..
Get at the main fuses under the Under Bonnet fuse box and see if it gives a circuit to one of them

If yes, might be able to help
Not come across a Disc for Scenics
( Got Megane wiring discs but all discs I have for Scenic, nothing inside or format not known )

Russians LOL

Hi Stuart.

The wire is black, I have been busy with Slave cylinder, what a job to take that out, my first gearbox removal.

All sorted and back in, took longer that I expected with all the rain in Cape Town.

I will be looking at that black wire today, to see if I can find were it must go. I hope that thats the problem

Hi Good afternoon.

So I got to work on car again, I took all the looms apart and checked all wiring, could not find were the black wire may have come from, so I attached it to the body of car, as it looks like a earth wire.

Still no start. I looked around again and noticed this purple wire hanging loose, from the Alternater plug, its not attached to the plug, and can see that it had a break in it and has been rejoined, with bear connection, but not connected to alternator,

WILL THIS CAUSE A NONE START?

Thanks

Whats Diagnostics showing?

So you have a crank signal, if RPM is showing

Can you check for a Cam signal..

should be able to see this with Delphi..

Dont mean fuel in the tank, Fuel pressure, is any showing on cranking? Can you post Oval Ian, will have a couple of hours tomorrow afternoon, and will switch tother laptop on and have a look..

Your Pre post heating fault needs sorting here,
Would see why thats not playing ball, as on your year that is part of starting and pretty sure without it working you wont have any joy

I have checked in the area were you usually find Crank sensor but nothing there, I will have a look for Cam sensor reading, does it come under something else as the last time you asked I could not find it on the Delphi System.

Please Oval sticker attached
