EOBD is only manditory for diesel vehicles made in 2004 or later(2001 for petrol). But yours might be EOBD already. You can but only try it.

Hello & Welcome to the Forums Mobile1.

Your socket is on the floor between the 2 front seats where your handbrake should be.

Many thanks for the replies, found the OBD socket , it is between the front seats, Saw Renault Engineer plug in to it when they had to reset the airbag light after replacing a faulty indicator switch. all i need now is a lead and software.....

Dear,
I own a Megane 2005 1600cc,
I'm wondering what is the best OBD for my car?
Is it available to be downloaded for free?
I faced on the net a programe called pimp my car (it has to do with the car chips) do you recommended?

Sincerely yours,
