Hi,

I have just bought a 2001 Scenic 2.0SE with 43k on the clock with Renault FSH. I know that the mileage interval for replacing a cam belt is 72k but I have been told that it should also be replaced if more than 5 years old - do you know if this is correct?

If I do need to replace the belt, can anyone suggest a decent garage in Kent or South London (Renault are advertising a full fit for £460 which seems a bit expensive to me).

Thanks

Hello & Welcome to the Forums RussellJ.

Yes 72K or 5 years which ever is first, I do not know the are but I am sure a fellow member will suggest an alternative to Renault dealers prices.
