My wife's Scenic 1.4 has become extremely slow to fill up with fuel over the past few months - the pumps cut off at a very low trigger pressure - any clues out there please?

TIA

Hi Sammy - do you use the same filling station every time as it's possible their pumps are set wrongly - one other possibility is the tank breather pipe is blocked.:)

Hi there, thanks for the reply. It happens at different petrol stations so it's most likely to be the breather then. Can I get access to the top end of the breather pipe at all?

regards,

Hi Sammy - the breather pipe runs a somewhat convoluted course - it usually goes upwards inside the rear pillar and then doubles back down to the underside of the car. It is possible the outlet is covered in muck and crud and may need to be put up on a ramp to be inspected properly. I suggest you contact a good garage for advice but if I find any more info., I post it up.:)

Thanks for the update.:)

How much did it cost to sort out?.Did you have the valve replaced or was it repaired?.
