Hi,
Can somene please tell me what the warning light is on the Renault Scenic instrument panel that looks like a picture of a gearbox or maybe a handbrake?
I only had it come on once after a fast journey. I came to a stop to go up a very steep incline but I lost drive power and the light came on. I turned off the engine and restarted and it was fine again!!
Is this serious.

Thank you for your replies.
Yes mine has auto under it too.
I have just dropped it for a service and told him about it and your suggestion about atf.

There are other issues with the gearbox that can cause the light, as the box is full of sensors. The other common one is the hydraulic distributer, but as you said you had done a fast journey I'm thinking the ATF may have got hot and therefore thin and that with the steep angle may cause the problem. Good luck and keep us updated.
