As mentioned, my seat airbag deployed and got the airbag light on (obviously). My question is, does steering wheel and passenger airbag still work? Or they are connected somehow? Like when there is error code in system, then it wont deploy others too or how does it work?
Thanks

Afaik the airbag controller decides which bag to fire depending on the direction of the impact. The crash data is stored on the controller and has to be cleared before the system will work. The other bags and belt pretensioners should still work after the data is cleared.

Tried to delete the codes but it wouldnt. So basically, even with fault codes my other bags should still deploy right? Because i cant get it fixed soon, but also dont wanna drive a car that airbags dont work

It's not as simple as a code delete. There will be data on the controller that needs high end equipment to erase. A dealer should be able to do it. There are also specialist companies doing it but you have to send off the controller or you could go visit a body repair shop. They will generally know people who come along and reset things on the crashed cars they are repairing. They might give you a telephone number.
How did the bag go off?

Long story short: went on a ice track and friend wanted to give it a try, but got out of hand and hit a tree on the side. Bodywork ect almost done, also i will replace the seat later, but just want to know if my other airbags still work incase something happens?

Yes. Crash data has to go.
You could replace the module but....... a new one is expensive. A used one might work but it will have to have exactly the same software configuration as was set up for the bag system in your car. Part number may not be enough to ensure compatibility.

Just asking because i got curious. How do i check the compatibility then? Need some program to check if the software is same or..?

The last one I replaced the module itself had failed. No bags deployed. The only solution the dealer would offer is a new part and or a software reload for my VIN. So in this case at least the dealer was capable of matching software to VIN. No interest in my supplying a used part.
I got a used part as in the pic for less than 20 Euro delivered. Everything matched except the date by a few months and amazingly it worked. I did need high end kit, Vida/DICE to erase the comms faults. Lesser equipment like icarsoft could not even establish communication with the old module let alone figure out what was wrong. Would a Renault behave the same??? I imagine that in your case, crash data erasing is a more certain route to follow.

Airbag unit is now LOCKED
So your airbags are disabled
It will also put a code into your UCH , fitting another airbag module could work, but not always, as the UCH will have a code saying air bag locked, and you could need this code removing .. and the car MIGHT not start .

The seat thats gone off, it will also have set the tensioner off on the seat belt stalk, this will need changing, or forcing back in to position if your strong enough , but a tab needs pressing and the stalk pushing at the same time

EASY WAY
Its fit a second hand module that matches the numbers, and most importantly has the same amount of air bags fitted as yours ..
Then with a diagnostic tool that can read the UCH clear the code relating to air bag locked by computer
BUT DONT fit second hand unit,, until seat and stalk has been sorted

Sorry for late reply, but basically. Getting new seat with second hand module works? I was about to go to the dealership in 2 weeks and no idea how much they are gonna ask for it. But if just changing seat and module works, i'd do that because it would be alot cheaper i think...
I will do it in the order as you described, but my seat belt stalk didn't pop, so it fine i think.
And one more question because im very curious person, if i fit module before fitting new seat, then module gets fault coded again? :D
Thanks!

Module will put air bag light on ..
ARE you 100% sure seat belt stalk has not grown should be same length as the other..
Just double check, as something has made seat bag ignite

Yes, double checked again, stalk and tensioner is fine i dont know why they didnt activate.
But module only gets hard coded when it makes an airbag explode?
