I need to replace the tyres on my Grand Scenic and noticed a sign for Motrio tyres when I was at me local dealer recently. A couple of days later I called them to get a quote. I was pleasantly surprised to find I could replace all 4 tyres for £240.

I called them 2 days later to book the care in only to be told that Motrio tyres aren't available in my cars size yet (205/60/16) but a price was quoted in the interests of customer service!

Surely it would be better customer service to just tell me the tyres aren't available?

Agreed, they should have advised a price but also advised the lack of availability!

I never heard of a place quoting for something that is unavailable!! :crazy: I think I would've had a few words to say to them! That wasn't customer service that was just wasting your time!

That's ridiculous. Reminds me of the time I dropped the Mégane in to get the tyre pressure sensors programmed. Had the car for two hours, "All done sir, that'll be £50". Went out to the car and it was EXACTLY as it was before I left it in, no tyres recognized. Idiots.
