The steering on the Laguna has been somewhat shaky ever since i've bought it. It when you hit about 50mph or more it gets like this.

I've recently had all the tyres changed and balanced. I had 4 wheel allignment on the car a few days ago also. The allignment was quite far out but having had it sorted it's not much better.

Not sure where to look next to sort this?

Are you saying that you have a vibration through the steering at above 50mph?.If so,then if you can drive through it and it dissapears at around 65,then it still sounds like a wheel balance problem.I'd be tempted to have the front wheels balanced somewhere else as the balancer might be faulty at the place where you had it done last.

If all seems well, then you have to suspect a driveshaft or possibly even a gearbox problem, but I'd have the wheels balanced again and go from there. If you live anywhere near Gillingham in Dorset,I'll balance them for you as our machine is nearly new!.:)
