I have a megane scenic 2001 2.0l petrol and haveing big problems. What happens is i get a strong smell of fuel and car keeps juddering and cutting out. I changed ignition coils, plugs and air filter with no joy. Dont know much about engines but ive been told it could be electical problem. Please help!!

Yes mate, 4 new ones. Just another bit of information; the fuel smell comes and goes as well as the cutting out

These engines can be prone to interference problems if the non genuine plugs are fitted, also alot of people don't seem to tighten the plugs down enough, this is important that they are tight enough so the heat can be taken away from the plug in to the head, if they are loose they will over heat and quickly burn out. Some people say that some factor coils are rubbish and some are ok. Me i personally only fit genuine one to my customers cars, but then i'm not paying, but since the green top ones came out i have had none back faulty. I would re check what you have fitted check for cracks in the plugs that may cause arcing out.

Thanks for the reply. But double checked plugs today and coils are not cheap ones as i was warned before buying

double checked plugs today and the coils are the good ones as warned not to go for the cheaper ones.
