i started my car today (1.2 16v dynamic clio) and left it running to warm up went back to it turned it of opened the bonet and noticed smoke was coming from behind the engine ( Bobbed it as friends clio caught fire the other month) anyone know what could be the cause? many thanks arran

Sounds like you might have an oil leak on to the exhaust

Hard to say, you need to follow the oil up until you find where it's coming from.

it seems to be coming from under the air feed at the back?

Coul dbe due to a number of things such as leaking rocker cover, head gasket, blocked PCV valve, etc, etc,........

Ideally you'll need to do a deeper investigagtion.

Maybe a good place to start is to get the engine cleaned and then run it. You should then be able to more clearly identify the source of the leak.
