Morning everyone

Just been out for a run....so took my Sat-nag to see if my speedo is under reading......and of course it is

But its by aprox 4 mph....is this an acceptable margin ????

im running renault alloys 185/65/14.....but want to put my 15s iv got in the garage on.....and iv worked out that i need 195/55/15s...which will give it the same rolling radius
If i fit 195/60/15s...would this take up the difference?????

I think you mean that the speedo is over-reading (i.e. it says you are doing 50, but in reality, you are travelling slower than that).

That increase in tyre & wheel would be fine imo.

i had the same alloys fitted to a Scenic i had....so quite fitting

think they will definatly look better on the Laguna though

I assume the speedo takes a reading off the front wheel/driveshaft????

Just gone straight through MOT with no advisories....but its for sale now....need to gather some cash together

Well iv wanted a "fun" car for ages....and they definatly seem to be fun to drive

I really enjoy the challenge of getting mine to cover ground at a fair old rate, whilst getting 50-odd mpg. Also amazed with the space inside for such a small car.

Theres a few members of the fiat forum thats put 1400cc turbo lumps in...and there was a seicento fitted with a vauxhall red top on ebay the other week as well....think thats on youtube

I don't know where they find the space - the engine bay is congested enough imo as it is.

Cooling is already a known issue (I think down to the limited space for heat exchanging). Mine doesn't overheat, but I'm conscious of the fan running a lot. So much so that I've removed the sound-deadening/insulation and will soon be fitting a bonnet vent to help it out.

I also picked up a couple of guages (temp & ammeter), which I'll be arranging for an auto-electrician to fit in due course.
