hi everyone

now i have a new problem with that laguna 2, just recently i jumpped into the car and pressed and release the start button and nothing happens, but if i keep my finger on the button then the engine will start after this i can take my finger off it.
can anyone tell me whats wrong or what needs replaced?

It's a 'feature.' Whether or not it's an intentional one, and what it's purpose might be is open to debate. If you press the START button with the card not fully inserted, then it switches the car out of auto-start mode and you have to hold down the button to keep it cranking. Do the same again, and it'll switch back into auto-start mode.

It's stumped a few people in the past, including me. See here.

Had this happen on my previous car , noted that the little green light in the button had failed at same time, Renault Stealer replaced start button assembly under warrenty , no further problems.
