Hello,sorry you haven't had a reply to your post yet.

I'm guessing that as long as the light goes out and stays out,then the system is OK.May be another Clio owner with the same system would like to add their thoughts.

Thanks for the reply :)

Ordinarily i wouldnt be too worried about it but just the strange feel of the steering made me think about it.

I suspect that the amber light is the airbag self-check light, and on most cars with airbags, it is the last self-check warning light to go out. The hand-brake "on" lamp is usually the last one to go out on a journey (or possibly the seat belt warning lamp.....)
