Hi, I tried searching for this, but nothing came up.

I've been eyeing up a few new head units for my Clio Mk2 (54 reg). Most of them state a min and max wattage of speaker that the head unit can deal with, however I can't find a written record of the wattages of the stock Clio speakers anywhere.

Can anyone help me out, or point me in the direction of where I might be able to find this information?

Cheers

The wattage should be written on the back of the speaker, but I'm not sure how easy they are to get to.

Standard speakers are usually only around the 30-40w rating, but fitting a better quality and higher wattage head unit should improve the sound quality an awful lot.:)

Yeah my plan was to upgrade the head unit first and then work out whether I actually wanted to further improve the sound quality.

Dont wanna go OTT and spend a lot of money when I might sell the car in a few years anyway and will wanna return it to stock.
