Hi, I had to strip down my wifes car due to poor fuel consumption and 'check injection light' all roads lead to the EGR. Took ages to get into access EGR but I was defeated by two exteranl hex bolts, I believe these are called 'Head bolts'

I am trying to source a socket, the ones I saw on Ebay were a set for £60.00 plus

Can any kind sould direct me to a cheaper socket, I only need one to get this thing off, I may not be searching under the correct term, not sure?

I have enclosed a pic of the bolt to help.

Frustrated renault owner with a diesel at 28mpg:mad:

Many thanks

Chris

Those bolts are most likely Torx. Just buy an EX Torx socket set. Cost is about 10 pounds for a 14 piece set.
