Hi everyone, I'm new on here so please forgive me if you've had this question before! I have a 53 plate laguna extreme, one of the key cards works fine, the other starts the car and locks it, i had to have a repair done to this card, the unlock switch had come un-soldered, common fault. Anyway the problem is the card will no longer lock or unlock the car, but it will start it.
is there a way of re-syncing the card with the central locking? The other card still functions as it should. thanks for your help Dean.

hmmm sounds like the switches have just come off again as its my understanding the ignition and central locking are linked, so if the card starts the car it should open the doors unless the switches have come loose.
Does the light on the card come on when you press the button?
Could just be the battery as the card will still work the ignition with no battery in.

I prized mine apart and simply glued the switch back onto the circuit board and touch wood, its been fine.
Was a but suspicious of sending my card off to a repairer with my address, which give him the loaction of the car for which I had just sent him the key
Don't think my insurance company would be impressed.

If your carefull the card should glue back together and look fine, only took and hour.

Plus I'm really tight and wouldn't pay the money.

Thanks for the response, car is a 53 laguna extreme 1.9 dci, yes the red led still lights on both buttons, just wont operate the locking, battery in card is new as well.
Understand what you mean about sending card off for repair, wouldn't trust the car to be there one morning, lol.
Don't want to pay dealer price's for what should be a simple fix.:crazy:

Hi insert card but don't start engine.
Then press and hold the central lock button until u hear a beep and then take the card out and press the lock button on the key card.


Then press the central unlock button by the gear stick.


Worked for me!

Sorted it was the battery which the garage had replaced when the car was serviced on Monday!!!
