was wondering if anyone could help. I have a problem with my 2001 1.2 clio cutting out at low revs. Have been advised to clean the throttle body and that its quite straight forward but haven't a clue where it is. Can anybody help??
The throttle body is at the back of the engine where the air intake leads to and where the throttle cable connects on to.I suspect the Idle Air Control Valve is gummed up.......
BUT,I've got to be honest,if you don't know where the throttle body is,it's probably best that you leave well alone........you could end up doing more harm than good. The components in this area can be sensitive, and if your not carefull you could end up damaging something that could cost you a fair amount of money.I'm sure a decent independant garage wouldn't charge you very much for cleaning the I.A.C valve.
Well done on trying to do it yourself, but I wouldn't advise you do.Sorry.
