I have the same problem (Clio 1.5 DCi, year 2003), and found out that torx tool T30 is too small, while T40 is too large. Does it exist a size in between?
Thanks.

Welcome to the forum.:)

It should be T40,I suspect that yours have been removed before and have been damaged. There is a T35 size but it's very, very rarely used on anything to be honest.

Langdti,
you were right. It was a T40 screw. You know what was the problem? I tried to dismount them with a very cheap torx L-shaped set of keys, and the T40 was slightly bigger than it should have been! I bought a single (good) T40 tool, that fits perfectly with the screws and allowed me to take off the 4 screws with no problems.
Thank you again,
bye!
Greg
