borouht a towbar don't no how to wire it,thought it would come with colour coded wires for car wiring not just 7 core towbar wiring.. anybody have any ideas what colors go to what... scenic 02:crazy:

The wiring colours for tow-bars and trailers, etc are standardised and not vehicle specific. Try the link below it gives a color coded diagram for the socket.

Sadly Renault and many other manufacturers have a habit of chopping and changing their wiring colours and you'll need to trace which wires in the boot feed which. You'll need either a test lamp or multimeter for tracing each wire.

Did mine last Saturday, and did a thorough job taking my time in the process, and from start to finish, wiring the towbar plug as well, took about 3 hours.

Used a multimeter to find out which wires were to be matched in the plug, and did them one at a time.

The hardest part was routing the wire through the bodywork without drilling, but if you have a look here, there is some pics by Recycled Scenic.

yeh thanks mate i routed mine through the rubber flaps just below lights,then ran 2 feeds back down same side 2 wire indicators and tail lights on other side up through them TIGHT flaps lol.. tested wit multimeter worked perfect..thanks to all who helped with this...... all i nedd niw is a set of hydralic boot arms and window arms
