Hi guys. Wondering if anyone can help, I have a Renault trafic im 95% sure it’s from 1994 (don’t have the paperwork at hand). Basically it runs and drives pretty good for its age but when I’m approaching a junction the engine can stall and I presume it’s because the idle is too low (maybe not, please help? 😄). If it is the idle that’s the problem, im having trouble finding the throttle body to adjust the idle so it doesn’t cut out while driving. I’ve traced the air filter back but it doesn’t lead to a throttle body, it goes straight into the engine block, or straight into a plastic reservoir. I really hope someone can point me in the right direction! Thanks, Liam.

IF it is a diesel, there will be no throttle body.
Any idle adjustment would be on fuel pump.
And I would need to check my manuals to remember how it is adjusted on a van of that age...which is likely to be direct injection diesel not DCi

Hi, thanks for the replies, panic over. After 5 minutes I realised I was mistaking the air filter for something else, found the actual air filter and it lead to the throttle body. Idle is now set higher and van is running like a dream! 🥰
