Please advise:- My Trafic is 2008 diesel model 17,000 mls and has started to 'hold back' or misfire. I have scanned it with code reader and it says P0200 code ( faulty or no power to injector) is there an easy fix for this or would I have to take out all the 4 injectors to remedy this. I have started to use Wynns injector fluid in the diesel and I think it is marginality better but am unsure if this is indeed the problem.

Thanks for info.....but....not sure how to do that !!! any ideas for someone not very car minded. I do have a multi meter but not used it for car mechanics

just visually check the wiring for brakes on the bends just before the injectors

Get yourself a set of noid lights approx cost £20 disconnect plug to injector fit noid light light will flash
at cranking or idling if wiring & ecu is ok hth Regards

Thanks for the info will try and get those noid lights.
Using the van last night (for my job) it ran like it was running on three cylinders most of the time. When I gor speed up on the motorway and eased off the peddle it ran quite smooth, then again when I asked for power it would splutter and hold back.

Thanks for that -wiring is ok. Sooooooooooo the problem is the injector, I ordered a tool to remove it but the tool (a Slide Hammer) was too long to fit in under the bonnet.I decided to have ago with various other tools(no good) but the injector will not budge. Is there any other way that I can get this injector out? :crazy:

which injector is it? remember on the 115 injector number one is at the belt side of the engine as it is a nissan lump.

Hi rentech, the offending injector is no 3 and it is proving to be a right pain to get out thanks phil

I have succeeded in getting out the injector (it was a pain) I am going to get another injector is there any pitfalls to watch out for when fitting new part

Dunno how i missed this thread, mine sounds like a similar problem! Just wondering how you got on and did the injector cure the problem? Having to wait another 9/10 days for diagnostic to see what they say at Renault Garage. My own mechanic reckoned mine may have jumped the timing but didnt rule anything out.

Yes it did cure the problem. I have now had three new injectors last one cost 500 pounds from a garage and the motor has only done 20000 miles. Not happy

injector number One the culprit in my case.down to water getting in and coroding the top of it. quoted £600 for new injector & labour. Diesel specialist might be the cheapest & best option they told me.
Did you have much trouble getting your injector out? My mechanic might do it for me but he was kind of apprehensive as he says those injectors have a habit of snapping whilst trying to remove them!

The only injector that I have not changed yet is No 1. But saying that I have been told that the number 4 injector is the worse for water erosion.
I did the first injector myself but it was a pain so after all that I went to a auto marine diesel specialist who had the right equipment and it took him two days to do my last one, No 4 at a cost of £500. I do think Renault should be acountable for this design fault. If the injector does snap and cant get it out the worse senario is the head off or possibly a new engine. (sorry bad news )

Yeah i've heard all the sad stories. My Mechanic confident enough to try it but i am screwed if it breaks as i can barely afford the injector & fitting as it stands without it going pear shaped. Fingers crossed @
