Hi all,

I have a 2000 Laguna RT with auto tranny. I'm recently facing intermitten starting problem apparently due to the tranny switch that tells the ECU if the car is in gear or not playing up. This annoiying problem goes away once I move the gear box down and up. Due to the amount of threads regarding this issue, I would probably say it is a common problem among Renaults.

Is there a DIY tread for this issue?
Is it simple o should I take this to a mechanic?
Estimated cost?

Thank you all in advance :)

The switch is on top of the gear box with the selector assembly but you have to remove the air cleaner box and mounting brackett to get to it , it's basicly 2 pin switches behind the super multi megger switch (made up name) that the selector cabel goes into (dont touch this switch V expensive) one of the pin switches is for the start inhibet the other for the reversing lights . but i'm affraid thats as much as i know .

This has been a bad spelling production
sorry I know it sucks
