Hi All,
Does anyone happen to know the legal tyre tread depth and coverage for driving in France.

Here I believe it is a minimum of 4mm over 75% of the tyre. Any different across La Manche?

Due to a main dealer not realigning my wheels properly after work on the front steering, the tyres are scrubbed on the outer edges. 3 people, an MOT tester and 2 Tyre place people have told me they are legal but they only know the UK.

They have offered me a good compensation package for their mistake, which I was pleased about.

Regards

I'm not sure about France, but the UK minimum is 1.6mm across the central 3/4 of the tyre. It's advisable to change them before they get that low though, and I usually change them at around 2mm (more than that, and the lease company won't let me.)
