the little red light on the key card for my Laguna 1.9 desiel 2007 has started flashing and now im having trouble opening & locking the car. The lights were also flashing until I took out the kry bit. I rang the dealership who told me I would have to buy a new keycard. Is this right or could it be the battery. if it is the battery where do i get one? Are they only available in Renault dealerships or are they run of the mill ones you can buy anywhere?

Replacement batteries are easily available - you can change it yourself or any decent locksmith can do it for you. Last time I bought one for £1-75.

if you go on 7dayshop you can get 4 of these battrys for about £1.50 ish hope this helps

Hello,

Maplin sell them, but they are not overly expensive from a Renault dealer. Pretty sure the battery size is CR2032 but check in case I am wrong.
