Hey all,

I have just purchased a 2002 172 Cup (45K on the clock) and thought I would register on here to tap into all the knowledge and advice!

Any views or advice on good garages local to West Kent, good websites to buy parts from and general chat is appreciated.

Look forward to hearing from fellow 172 cup owners!

Cheers,
Ed.

HELP!

I'm after some help on a number of issues with my Clio 172 Cup from my fellow renault owners!

1) Which rear brake discs and pads should I buy as they need replacing very soon?

2) How do I remove and replace my entire glove box? Can't find any obvious screws!

3) How much should I expect to pay for a cambelt change?

Thanks in advance people!
Ed.

1 standard are fine and quite good value for money as they come with bearings
( or can buy upgraded , but may have buy bearing separate)
2 , glove box is part of lower dash so does not come out on its own , what are you trying to do ?
3 prices will vary depending on area , using dealer /independant /private and what belt kit you use. personally i would recommend buying the genuine renault cambelt kit.

hi i would go for mintex groved and dimpled rear disks as they come with bearings and abs rings already fitted.

2 the glove box can be taken out pretty easy its a number of screws dotted around and 3 under the center silver moulding on the dash it just prizes off

and renault charge anywhere from 200 to 450 for a cambelt . i would only recomend a renault cambelt kit fitted by renault as its coverd with a 30k miles or 3 year guarentee whatever comes first if its not fitted by renault there is no guarentee and renault tools are needed so you could try find a indi garage that has them. p.s blueprint cambelt kts are made by the same factory as o.e.m renault cambelts for a cheaper option.
