Now Drivers door wont Lock either ?

 

hi there m8 i'm having the same problem with my megane 1.5 dci its beet great since i bought it 6 months ago now the drivers door wont unlock or should i say its intermitent all the other doors are ok.if you get any ideas let me know please its driving me mad.

 

I would suspect a lazy or faulty door lock solenoid motor inside the door at the locking mechanism.
Sometimes a good drench of WD40 or the like may free it otherwise it may need replaced.
You'll need to remove the dot liner for a looksee though.

Did any one solve this issue as I have the same fault on my 52 Laguna II. I cannot open the drivers door in any way, so not possable to use WD40.
If I can some how get it open then I could take of the trim panel and lubricate or replace as required.
But 1st need to work out how to open it.

I can drop the window on the drivers door so is there any way I can access the door lock via feeding a plastic strip down the gap to activate a manual Release.

All other doors work as required but drivers will not open from out or inside when the central locking has been released.

Is there any way that the door can be opened manually.
