2013 Renault Master low battery warning, I'm struggling to trying to get to the root cause of this one.

My 2013 Master has a new battery and has been checked over by a Renault Garage and no faults found - no fault codes.... and I've checked all I can - connections, leads etc. the garage took off the front and cleaned all the connections checked leads and as there are plenty of volts assumed the alternator is OK.

Battery voltage OK - engine off 12.88
Start engine, immediately the oil level light goes out the battery warning comes on, charge rate kicks in and is around 14.2 - 14.3 volts, light stays on.
Intermittently - occasinally it will go out and the charge rate drops to 13.5 - 13.6 volts, then on comes the warning light and we're back to 14.2 - 14.3 volts.

The vehicle works fine, apart from the warning lights relating to low battery.

Is this related to how the alternator senses the battery voltage / electrical load or is it something else???

Any pointers will be gratefully received!

This is great advice - I've done some more testing and the signal wire to the alternator only reads around 10 volts when the engine is running - it's a two wire alternator (big red output and white signal input).
So now I'm trying to work out where 'it' goes to or comes from, it looks like it goes to the ECU but it's hard to trace all the ECU connections - I don't think it's a wiring fault as 'tweaking all the looms' makes no difference.
