Blue smoke: so I bought a 2003 1.5 dci Clio not to long ago and I'm starting to have problems... it uses about a litre of oil a week and smokes a lot under acceleration or when turbo spins up but no smoke at all when starting her up or just idling. Can anyone help...

Likely that turbo seals are leaking. Check for oil residue in the inlet pipes, intercooler etc. If so, then be careful. You may end up with a runaway engine (when the engine starts running on oil alone). Otherwise oil getting into the engine somewhere else (valve stems, rings, gaskets, cracks, etc). Check inlet pipes first (between turbo and engine). Not good news I know but you need to find where the oil is going.

If it does run away get it in top gear and stall it a bit brutal but if turning
it off does not stop it it's the only way.

So I've had the car off the road wile I replace the turbo but I've noticed that the watter bottle is completely black so I opened the cap and the water is extremely low and had the black gunk flouting over the top of all the water could this be related to the turbo or is there a bigger problem I'm not seeing ? Thanks guys.

Just go on it being dirty from over the years, too late to check if you have turbo apart, but if heater was getting hot inside the car , then ignore till up and running..
