We had a member with a new hybrid recently who had trouble starting his car.
Would press the button but no engine sound
Turned out he was expecting the ICE to start every time and not realising that when system was happy with the battery, EV took over. It actually had started and was waiting for him.

As with Andrew, I have not got one but the tale above and many from other forums where EV/hybrids are more common is that the systems are not always doing what you think they should but working to load/power/charge algorithms that make sense to them.

Not saying that yours isn't faulty, just keep an open mind, if you are not happy, run it back to the dealers and discuss
