There are 2 other items in same menu window as EGR adaptives reset.. ECU learned parameters or similar. Anyone know what they do ? I 've pressed all 3 buttons after replaceing EGR & now have no no EGR faults but have gained some kinda low power mode on a '05 1.9Dci 120ps Scenic !

Hi if you do the learned parameters the computer has to learn the engines base settings. as for the egr reset when that is done there is a relearn needed ie engine on, off one foot out the window while pressing the start. There is a set list of things to do once its replace reset look for a manual on how to do it.:d

What do you mean exactly by "one foot out of the window while pressing the start ?" & can you point me towards the detailed instructions of what to do after the EGR reset or perhaps tell me manual name please ?

Cheers , I have ordered a workshop manual.. I didnt know they were available.. Having read for many many hours about problems with the f9Q I'm surprised i hadn't seen them mentioned before..

I cant really see that fitting a new egr, resetting adaptives & ECU base settings could create a sort of limp mode but I will keep an open mind & follow through anything i find, thank you.

It's faster with it disconnected yes. I get the same effect more or less with the vnt vac pipe disconnected and that's how I'm running it at the mo. Just about drivable although hills are embarrassing.

Tried different used MAP sensor , no performance difference. Getting 2v peak out from it ,(revving in neutral ) 5v in. Blowing it manually with a bike pump I get the expected 4v. What does this all mean. !?

Other things tried-

Different Ecu
Different Ecu software
New cheapo MAF
New Vnt vac solenoid
Measured vnt vac solenoid voltage , 9.5v approx
Fingered turbo compressor wheel , slight resistance , I expected a little play and easy spinning
